Mission
The Camarines Norte State College shall provide higher and advance studies in the field of education, arts and science, economics, health, engineering, management, finance, accounting, business and public administration, fisheries, agriculture, natural resources development and management and ladderized courses. It shall also respond to research, extension and production services adherent to progressive leadership towards sustainable development.
Brief History and General Information
Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) traces its origins to Camarines Norte High School, established in 1920 in the town of Daet. It later became Camarines Norte National High School and was officially converted into a state college through Republic Act No. 7352 in 1992, signed by President Corazon Aquino. This legislation unified several educational institutions across the province, including Abaño Pilot Elementary School, which became the Abaño Campus. As one of the oldest and most historic parts of CNSC, Abaño Campus continues to play a vital role in the college’s academic development and now serves as the designated site for education programs, including teacher training and foundational instruction.
Today, CNSC operates multiple campuses across Camarines Norte, each offering specialized academic programs tailored to the needs of local communities:

Main Campus (Daet): Serves as the central hub for administration and houses the College of Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Public Administration, College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, and the Graduate School.

Abaño Campus (Daet): Focuses exclusively on education programs, particularly teacher training and pedagogy.

College of Trades and Technology (Jose Panganiban): Offers industrial and technical courses.

Ret. Judge Antonio C. Entienza Campus (Sta. Elena): Provides education programs to students in the northern part of the province.

Halu Oleo University was founded in 1964 as a private university affiliated with Hasanuddin University Makassar. Seventeen years later, Haluoleo University was inaugurated as the first state university in Southeast Sulawesi by the Director General of Higher Education; Prof. Dr. Doddy Tisnaamidjaja representing the Minister of Education and Culture who was then held by Prof. Dr. Nugroho Notosusanto on August 19, 1981 as the 42nd state university in Indonesia based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 37 of 1981. Currently, Haluoleo University has 14 Faculties and Postgraduate Programs.
